Etihad Airways has announced the launch of a new route connecting Abu Dhabi’s Zayed International Airport (AUH) to Sochi International Airport (AER), further expanding its global network. The airline will operate three weekly flights to Sochi, a key destination on the northeastern coast of the Black Sea. The service, set to commence soon, will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays using one of Etihad’s Airbus A320 family aircraft.

Each flight will feature a dual-class configuration with eight seats in Business and 150 in Economy, offering passengers the airline’s renowned onboard hospitality. Tickets for the new route are now available for booking. This latest addition marks the fourteenth new destination introduced by Etihad Airways this year, underscoring its continued expansion strategy. The airline has been actively enhancing its route network to cater to both business and leisure travelers, capitalizing on increasing demand for global travel.

The introduction of the Abu Dhabi-Sochi route is expected to boost tourism and business ties between the UAE and Russia. Sochi, known for its scenic coastline and status as a popular winter sports destination, attracts visitors year-round for both leisure and sporting events. Etihad Airways’ new service will also enhance connectivity for travelers looking to explore Abu Dhabi, either as a primary destination or a stopover.

The airline’s Abu Dhabi Stopover program offers passengers the opportunity to extend their layovers with up to two complimentary nights at select premium hotels, making it an attractive option for international visitors. The airline has been steadily increasing its global reach, introducing new routes that align with market demand and travel trends. The launch of flights to Sochi reflects its commitment to providing passengers with more travel choices while strengthening Abu Dhabi’s position as a key aviation hub. – By MENA Newswire News Desk.
